Hildegardes C. Dineros, M.D.
He is the Head of the Section of Bariatric Surgery at St. Luke's Medical Center (SLMC) in Quezon City and Medical Director of the Healing Hand Clinic based in the same hospital. He is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity (IFSO), Philippine Association for Study of Overweight and Obesity, North American Association for the Study of Obesity, European Wound Management Association, and the Australian Wound Management Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (PSLS), Philippine College of Surgeons (PCS), Philippine Society of General Surgeons (PSGS), and the Philippine Society for Burn Injuries.
He is a graduate of University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Manila and spent his medical internship at Makati Medical Center. He finished his General Surgery Training at St. Luke's Medical Center where he became the Chief Resident of the Department of Surgery. He took up Fellowship in Plastic Surgery at Santo Tomas University Hospital then went abroad for training in Bariatric Surgery. He is trained by world-renowned bariatric surgeons such as Dr. Alan Wittgrove, Dr. M.A.L. Fobi, Dr. Vincent Frering, Dr. Douglas Hess, Dr. Shyam Daiya, Dr. Shashank Shah, among others. He has also trained in several of the best institutions around the world like LSU New Orleans, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Mount Sinai Medical Center NY, Harvard Medical School and in Los Angeles CA, San Francisco CA, Las Vegas NV, Taiwan, India and Belgium, as well as other parts of Asia and Europe. He is a certified specialist not only in Bariatric Surgery, but also in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Complex Wound Care, as well as Spiritual Healing and Medicine. He has extended his services in charitable programs like the Nuestra Sra. de Salvacion Charity Hospital Foundation, Inc. of which he is the current president, Sagip-Bayan Foundation of SLMC where he is the past president, and many other charitable groups like the Aloha Medical Mission based in Hawaii, and the Tzu Chi Foundation based in Taiwan.
